Youth Sport Trust and Maths of the Day are working in partnership to deliver
FREE, fully funded ‘Active Maths’ workshops to all primary school teachers across the country.
The course looks at the research, rationale and benefits of introducing ‘active maths’ into the school curriculum- focusing on how this approach is raising attitudes and attainment to maths in schools, whilst also increasing levels of physical activity (contributing to government expectations that children are active for 60 minutes per day).
'Fun and active ideas which can be incorporated into maths. MOTD has left my staff feeling invigorated and inspired.' – Gemma Harvey, Headteacher at Longstone Primary School.
Delegates will be introduced to the multi award winning educational resource ‘Maths of the Day’ (
www.mathsoftheday.org.uk) an online resource which provides teachers with over 2000+ lesson plans and resources on how to deliver maths through physical activity.
